Oy. It is sinking in.
That woman with elf-ears and eight foot brown feather wings.
Stormtroopers. Star Wars t-shirts: The First Transport is Away, Wookie is my Co-pilot, rebel scum.
The Forge booth, packed, a continuous cycle of demo’s, buddies, and sales.
I ran three games: Burning Wheel: The King in Gray, Sorcerer: Dictionary of Mu and Dogs in the Vineyard. It feels like these games just ran themselves.
Got to play some Sorcerer and Dr. Chaos with Ron.
I didn’t get to play Polaris with Ben. He’s off on his journey across the world. Bummer.
Didn’t get to see Friday’s game theory and design seminar. Why didn’t anyone tape it? WHY!?!
Got cool interviews for Sons of Kyros with Monte Cook, Ron Edwards, Jared Sorenson, one of the actors from The Gamers movie and that fella who had his own booth for Made Men. It was a nice spread of folks and they came out well.
We didn’t get to interview a ton of people I’d like to have tracked down, some of whom were even at the Forge booth but we just didn’t connect with on Sunday. S’cool. Catch ‘em next time or at Dreammation.
The demo’s at the booth were really hot. The whole act of demo-ing is becoming its own art and some folks really have their shit down. I got to demo with BW with Luke (just helping to round out the table and help it all along), Tony (whose Dexcon demo felt stronger), Trollbabe with Ron, Infinite Armies with Greg and Polaris with Ben. Those are some tight, tight demo’s.
Monte’s folks were demo-ing Iron Heroes but most other RPG’s don’t have demo’s as part of their presence. Interesting.
