The Iron Wheel stuff certainly looks interesting, I’ll be following that thread to see how things develop.

If all was well with the world, that’d be the next thing I’d run. That’s a few months off and others might want to GM.
We’ll see.
That’s a badass slew of links. Iron Wheel sounds like a good’un. I’ve only read the first couple of chapters of Perdido Street Station, but what I read was neat. A campaign in the setting would be interesting.
It wouldn’t be a game in that setting but a game inspired by that setting, there’s worlds of difference.
Ah, okay. I’m not familiar enough with Mieville’s work to really tell the difference. Still sounds cool.
Would characters get one emotional attribute, or all of them?
Just one, but one can lead to another, to another. When its all up and working it’ll be a big triangle with arrows going from one to another. The journey from one attribute to the other would be dramatic.
Nice! I will be following its development with great interest.
Its the difference between Burning Sands: Jihad, which is obviously inspired by Dune and picking up the Dune RPG and playing directly in that universe, using info from the books.
Does that make sense?
Indeed it does.
Iron Wheel : Perdido :: Burning Wheel : Tolkien
Oh and thanks. Duh.
