Sunny, glutened Friday

I got glutened this past weekend and its still rattling around in my insides. Perhaps this is why I missed Wednesday and Friday morning yoga. I woke up in the morning and was really dragging ass, which is a shame, because I feel better when I start the day with lots of sweat and stretching.

Reading: Still finishing the Thief, I put it down in order to finish up Money Shot.

Wearing: Black jeans and a green polo shirt.

Planning: Rob’s visiting this weekend, I think.

Writing: 1st Quest Ashcan for Gen Con.

And you?

Reading: The end of Blue Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson (“reading” on Audible).

Wearing: Grey marginally work-appropriate t-shirt, khaki shorts, hiking boots.

Planning: A tactical retreat from the third circle of Hell (aka, my job).

Writing: Blessedly, nothing. Though I am taking notes for things that could go in the final version of Misspent Youth.

  16. Reading: Asimov’s Foundation & Empire. I swear, the Foundation trilogy is required reading for Burning Empires (besides Iron Empires, which I haven’t read yet).

Wearing: Dark blue slacks & grey shirt.

Planning: Working at MPOW’s Battle of the Bands this evening, & then I’m on vacation until next Friday!

Writing: Not really anything. Works pretty much been draining my brain lately.

  19. Reading: Seven Nights (Borges lectures) – actually pretty lame so far.

Wearing: Blue jeans, black polo shirt, a bit of a rug burn on the back.

Planning: Pull out a bunch of old notes and try to connect them all together in some kind of unified way.

Writing: Still plugging away on the fantasy tarot project, have figured out some mechanics that keep it from being too esoteric.

Planning: Getting to his train tomorrow. Finding out how to get a 1st Quest ashcan when I’m not going to be at GenCon.

Writing: Still write ups of conventions. It should be my paper / notes for MythCon, which is, after all, why I am not going to GenCon.

  25. Thanks for stealing Rob – he was totally supposed to hang out with Rachel and me this weekend. By my count, you owe me twice: once for this, and once for the jedi-predator-elevator near miss.

  28. Reading: Friends page. Also Fragile Things, by Neil Gaiman.

Wearing: Jeans, steel-toed boots (because they’re comfortable, darn it!), t-shirt, long sleeve shirt fresh from Wal-Mart (I forgot to bring a shirt and I hate movie theatre AC)

Planning: Fast trip to Ithaca next week. See question below.

    Writing: This.

I found one game store downtown – don’t recall the name. Near a theatre. Are there any others around town I should check out? (congrat’s, you’re my source for all information Ithacan!) 😉

I’ve got to run out there Wednesday (only 7 hours…one way) for the home inspection on the house we’re buying, then turn around and go home Thursday.
