Return from Maho Bay, first thoughts fast response edition

Why doesn’t everyone drop what they are doing and move to this beautiful place, filled with sunshine and blue seas and wonder?

Because everyone does not want to do work that deals with tourists. Tourists, give or take, kinda suck.

It was beautiful and Janaki is a wondrous traveling companion; we feel re-charged, rested and ready to grab 2009 by the nose and kick it in the ass.

I have more thoughts to jot down: seeing people with their kids, the cool comics-conversation starved guys who worked at Maho.org, the role of t-shirts in travel, the blues of the seas and Maho Bay’s precarious fate.

But for now, Happy New Year, people.
