Sammesh of Gaham and also a Shepherd Boy

Sammesh of Gaham

My first draft of Samm’s beliefs were really weak but Storn had some good suggestions and I tweaked ’em up and set them right:

– Byzantine court politics will not destroy me; I will speak my mind bluntly and honestly, as my grandfather would have wanted me to.

– Sargon is a godless city; I will summon a deity worthy of its people.

– The Sorcerer-King Tabat will take me into his counsel as one of his Five Royal Summoners; I will show his majesty the worthiness of arcane actions backed up by mundane scholarship.

And while I’m posting about Burning Wheel again, there is an AP thread, a solo game about a shepherd boy heading out into the world to pursue a life of heroism and adventure. Check out Burning Shepherd.

    • Conversations with 13 Gods in the time of Sorcerer-King Tabat the God-Finder

Originally, I had this belief and another about summoning each and every god in order to write a book: Conversations with 13 Gods in the time of Sorcerer-King Tabat the God-Finder.

Storn gave some solid advice and I decided to start small and I’ll work my way up to Sammesh writing his grand work.

This is the first game where we’ve used it.

The summoning rules are basically circles tests but with the dead, demons, angels, spirits and gods and special rules for summoning circles and all that. Its keen.

Yeah, I was surprised when I didn’t see him as one of your relationships. But I imagine it will be fun to “circle” him up sometime… especially if you get enmity 🙂
